YouTube’s Ai push v human creators?

If you listen to the short and revealing video below, you will recall I pretty much said this word for word in posts/videos over the last week or so. Regardless of intent, YouTube is actually engaging in censorship and this affects us all.

So far there have been no explanations from YouTube as to why our views have gone off a cliff. Suddenly and dramatically, yet our click through rates have remained the same…meaning there is no drop off in audience interest, only in impressions which is the number of times our videos are shown in viewers’ feeds.

Since publishing my concerns, viewers have told me they were unsubscribed, they hadn’t seen me for a while and thought I was taking a break…through to I subscribed, hit the ALL button and then went back and was unsubscribed again.

Is it a technical or Ai glitch? I would think YouTube is well aware by now of creator’s concerns and the issues at hand. This means there is something else at play. It’s natural to go for the obvious political interference…and perhaps this is the case? I’ve also thought about Google’s push to turn its search engine into an Ai zone beyond referring to the websites it was initially set up to search and find.

Ai generated content videos can outperform human made content, however while Ai videos generate massive view counts and viral reach, apparently human made content drives greater subscriber conversion.

It is hypothesised that in the future, hybrid models that combine human and Ai content will be successful on social media platforms. Is this YouTube’s way of weeding out the number of videos produced by humans and/or channels on their platform to make way for more Ai content? Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has invested $100 billion in Ai so far…a significant investment that would be demanding a payoff via consumer uptake perhaps. YouTube’s worth is estimated at around $450 billion.

To prove a point, my research has shown YouTube has already introduced an Ai function to shorts where viewers get to make, or remix, an original short into an Ai version. I kid you not. Viewers in the comments section of these remixed Ai shorts remain unimpressed.

The dilemma

Beyond political interference, the remaking of a human created content platform into this hybrid model might be partially behind what we are seeing on YouTube. If so, I predict viewers will find their own communities on a diverse range of social media.

For creators struggling with falling views and considering diversification, a host of dilemmas are presented. Some, like me, prefer to make content freely available so that no one person is left behind because they can’t afford to pay…yet if there are no advertisements paying costs we are forced behind paywalls.

I’ve had to make this exact decision in opening up my content on Substack. I chose the lowest possible monthly rate here of $5 per month…if I could have gone lower I would. I don’t need riches, just costs and time covered to help provide for my family (a son with special needs still at home) and spiritual and emotional reward in the work I do. I have the latter in spades with such loyal and kind hearted viewers.

Going forward, while some of my new videos will be behind a paywall, I will still be ‘free’ to watch on YouTube as long as viewers want me to be and as long as human generated content is still allowed and uncensored.

Board of Peace fiasco

Remember the Donald J Trump Foundation, the fake charity he set up to “serve his business and political interests”? In 2018, he was ordered by the court to payout $2 million to charities to settle a lawsuit brought by the New York AG. Well now questions are being raised over the financial accountability of the Board of Peace, the fund Trump set up to help rebuild a decimated Gaza.

The British based Financial Times has broken a story today that shows zero deposits in the official Board of Peace account. Instead Board member countries have been funnelling money into a private account held with JP Morgan with no “independent transparency requirements” in place, the Financial Times noted.

Trump set up his so called Board of Peace in October 2025 after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire. The Board was to oversee reconstruction in Gaza and, eventually, in other war torn countries. He then invited countries across the world to join the Board with a $1 billion entry fee for life membership. He appointed himself Chairman for Life, giving himself unchecked authority over budgets, appointments to the Board and financial disbursements.

The Board is run by Trump’s inner circle, including Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, the two ceasefire negotiators now involved in the Iran War which has been marked by huge profits for oil producers and supply chains, and unchecked insider trading.

Initially, the Board of Peace was met with scepticism from US traditional allies who refused to join. Instead countries like Russia signed on and the Board now has around 20 members. It’s not known how much money has been collected by Trump’s Board administration because there are no checks and balances on the Board’s private financial accounts.

Trump promised a donation of $10 billion to the Board from the US taxpayers however those funds have not been approved by Congress. Instead The State Department had offered $50 million to keep the board running, which has yet to be allocated as lawmakers demand details of the Board’s financial and legal accountability requirements.

No reconstruction projects have begun in Gaza some seven months after the Board was set up. Instead Gazans continue to live in tents among the rubble of their cities. The ceasefire, while holding, has been marked by frequent bombing of citizens and further demolition of homes by the Israeli government.

According to Al Jezeera “Israel has bombed and shelled the Gaza Strip over 1,100 times since the U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025. The near-daily attacks have killed over 900 Palestinians and leveled more than 1,500 buildings.”

It’s not known how Trump’s Board of Peace funds have been spent, or even if any funds have spent, because there is no transparency and oversight of the JP Morgan account.
